This year I take my 35th trip around the sun, and I am so grateful for what this time on Earth has taught me. God has shown me so much compassion and so extending it to others has been a great reminder of his love.
This year, join me in committing the following 35 acts of compassion. Extend compassion to everyone, including yourself. Send me a note and let me know how showing compassion impacts you and those you touch.

1. Say a prayer for someone who is hurting.
2. Call a friend who needs some light and check in.
3. Recite a positive affirmation in the mirror daily.
4. Give someone a hug.
5. Call someone and apologize.
6. Pick up trash in your community.
7. Cash app someone who won’t expect it.
8. Pray for someone’s future.
9. Write down three reasons you’re grateful for struggle today.
10. Mail a card to a friend you have not talked to in a while.
11. Commit an act of service for someone you love.
12. Read a novel for pleasure and relate the main character to your life. 
13. Take the love language quiz and plan one way to show yourself love immediately.
14. Read Luke 10:38-41 and consider how you can be more like Mary and less like Martha.
15. Read a book to someone else.
16. Support a friend’s business.
17. Make yourself your favorite dinner, share the leftovers.
18. Take a bath.
19. Visit a friend who is experiencing grief and provide comfort.
20. Extend someone or your self grace in a tough circumstance.
21. Help a family in need, specifically support a parent.
22. Do something that directly supports the homeless in DC.
23. Help the person closest to you with something they need.
24. Listen with intention to a child.
25. Write about what it would look like for you to overcome. 
26. Sit in silence for 10 minutes and practice intentional breathing.
27. Color something and give it to someone.
28. Give to any charity of your choice.
29. Smile at everyone you come in contact with.
30. Help a stranger.
31. Make a voice note talking about ways you can make change in the next 30 days.
32. Give your time to a young person you’re not related to.
33. Spend time or run an errand with someone who is elderly.
34. Offer a skill you have to someone for free.
35. Give to any scholarship.
